How do daily time limits work?

On the child's Controls tab, set daily minutes. Zero means no extra cap beyond the plan. Free plans already have a message-per-hour cap.

Session duration from learning activities. Opening the home screen or WonderVault does not spend the budget. When the budget is gone, APIs return a friendly 429 and the learner is asked to come back tomorrow.

Long single sessions also have a budget so a forgotten tab does not run all afternoon. Closing the tab is enough; you do not need to press a special stop button.
